Taraba CAN Chairman, Rev. Ben Ubeh Crushed To Death By Truck Taraba State: CAN chairman The Taraba State Vice Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Apostle John Aina, on Sunday confirmed the death of the state chairman, Rev. Ben Ubeh, in a motor accident along the Zing-Yola road. Ubeh died in the early hours of Sunday while on his way to Yola for an official engagement. An eyewitness who was traveling with the CAN chairman, Rev. Peter Gambo, was quoted by Punch Newspaper as saying that that the incident happened when they parked to buy some items in Zing town on their way to Yola, Adamawa State. Philomina Chieshe, the official of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), who claimed that the board’s N36 million was swallowed by a snake, has made a U-turn. Chieshe, who works as a clerk at the JAMB office in Markurdi, Benue state, had told top officials of the examination body that a “mysterious snake” swallowed the money derived from the sale of JAMB scratch cards. But when she appeared before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), she confessed that the money was collected by one Samuel Umoru, her superior. 22 suspected Nigerian yahoo boys arrested in Ghana The Ghanaian Police who told newsmen that they are processing the suspects for court, according to citinews, said the suspects will be repatriated in coming days which they believe is in the right direction to reduce the level of crime in the country.
